REMARKS ON SOME COUPLED FIXED POINT RESULTS IN PARTIAL METRIC SPACES

Abstract

In this paper we have developed a new method of reducing coupled fixed point results in partial metric spaces to the respective results for mappings with one variable, even obtaining (in some cases) more general theorems. Our results generalize, improve, enrich and complement recently coupled xed point results established by H. Alaeidizaji and V. Parvaneh [H. Alaeidizaji and V. Parvaneh, Coupled xed point results in complete partial metric spaces, Internat. J. Math. Math. Sci., (2012), in press]. Also, by using our method several tripled fixed point results in partial metric spaces can be reduced to the fixed point results with one variable.
