COMMON FIXED POINT FOR GENERALIZED WEAKLY EXPANSIVE MAPPINGS IN METRIC SPACES

Abstract


In this paper, we prove two common fixed point theorems for a pair of generalizedweakly expansive self-maps by using compatibility of type (E) and weak reciprocal continuityin metric spaces. Two examples and an application of the existence of solution for an integralequation are given to illustrate our results.
