THE CHORD METHOD IN BANACH SPACES AND SOME GENERALIZATIONS

Abstract

In this article a new convergence theorem for the chord method in Banach spaces is proved. The authors approach is based on a modication of the Kantorovichmajorant method and allows them to obtain optimal estimates in the case when the derivative of the left hand side of the studied nonlinear equation satises a Lipschitz condition Some generalizations are also given.
