GENERALIZED ROCKAFELLAR'S THEOREM ON LINEAR CONVERGENCE

Abstract


The generalized version of Rockafellar's theorem (1976) on the linear convergence, while approximating a solution to a general class of inclusion problems involving set-valued H¡maximal monotone mappings based on the proximal point algorithm in a Hilbert space setting, is explored. There is an abundance of literature on this theorem, and most of the investigations are focused to relaxing the proximal point algorithm and applying it to the approximation solvability of inclusion problems.
