AN ITERATION METHOD FOR EQUILIBRIUM PROBLEMS AND FIXED POINT PROBLEMS OF STRICTLY PSEUDOCONTRACTIVE MAPPINGS OF BROWDER-PETRYSHYN TYPE
Abstract
In this paper, we introduce an iterative scheme for finding a common element of the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem and the set of fixed points of strictly pseudocontractive mappings of Browder-Petryshyn type in Hilbert spaces. Some strong and weak convergence theorems are obtained. In particular, the necessary and sufficient conditions for strong convergence of our iterative scheme are obtained. The results presented in this paper improve and extend the recent corresponding results.
