INTERVAL OSCILLATION CRITERIA FOR HIGHER-ORDER FORCED NONLINEAR DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS
Abstract
By using Young's inequality and using a class of particular functions, some new criteria have been established for the oscillation of higher-order forced nonlinear differential equation of the form L_nx(t)+delta_q(t)F(x(t))=e(t) (delta=± 1) that are different from most known ones in the sense that they are based on the information only on a sequence of subintervals of [t0,1), rather than on the whole half-line. In particular, we allow the coefficient q(t) to change its sign and impose no restriction on the forcing term e(t) as those assumed in [3,4].
