ANALYSIS OF HIV-1 MODEL: WITHIN HOST CELL TO CELL VIRAL TRANSMISSION WITH ART

Abstract


Mathematical model for the effect of antiretroviral therapy on the dynamics of HIV-1 infection model with three distributed delays are proposed and analyzed. The effect of time delay on stability of the equilibria of the system has been studied and sufficient condition for local asymptotic stability infection free and chronic infected equilibrium. The basic reproduction number of our model reveals that the basic reproduction number of a model that neglects either cell-to-cell spread or virus-to-cell infection might be under evaluated.
