FURTHER INVESTIGATION ON BEST PROXIMITY POINT OF GENERALIZED CYCLIC WEAK φ-CONTRACTION IN ORDERED METRIC SPACES

Abstract

In this manuscript, a generalized cyclic weak φ-contraction is introduced (two examples are also given) and a new best proximity point theorem for this cyclic mapping are stated under certain conditions. The results obtained in this paper improve and extend previous results that have been proved for cyclic mappings.
