STRONG CONVERGENCE OF AN IMPLICIT ITERATION PROCESS FOR NONEXPANSIVE MAPPINGS IN BANACH SPACES

Abstract

In the present paper, we prove that the implicit iteration sequence introduced by Xu and Ori in [11] for a finite family of nonexpansive mappings converges strongly to a common fixed point of the family in a uniformly convex Banach space, requiring one member T in the family to be semi-compact. Our results extend and improve some recent results.
