UNIFICATION ON GENERALIZED (φ,ψ)-WEAK RATIONAL TYPE CONTRACTION MAPPINGS AND FIXED POINTS

Abstract

In this paper, sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of a fixed point in complete metric spaces under weak rational type contraction condition for two pairs of discontinuous weak compatible mappings are obtained. Also, an example is provided to illustrate the usability of our results. Our results generalize well-known results in the literature.
